Aaron:
Aaron just started 2 new activities.  The first is Taekwondo, and the other is a "Hooked on Phonics" class.  He is enjoying and excelling at both.  In Taekwondo, he got his white belt, and then his 1st degree white belt.  In hooked on phonics, he is learning many of the skills needed to read.  He is trying to sound out words, and doing very well!  I am very proud of him.
Emily:
Emily continues to do well in school, with her favorite subject being Math.  I don't know where she got those skills from...not me, that's for sure.  She is also taking extra classes at school.  This quarter she is in a theater arts class.  She has had to memorize lines, and build a set and costume.

The kids were with Dad this weekend.  We had a very busy one, too!  On Saturday we went to Ed and Kay Hirte's 50th wedding anniversary, and on Saturday night went swimming in Dads pool.
On Sunday, Emily had to get up in from of the Church for the Mass of Recognition.  Her and others were recognized as preparing for 1st Communion.  Emily will make 1sr communion on 4/29/01.  And, on Sunday afternoon, we went to Ryan Lambrecht's birthday party.  Sure was a busy weekend!

WOW!!  Is it really May already?  Where did the past few months go?  So much for keeping the site current!
The kids are doing well, and adjust to their new life changes.  Both continue to stay busy with activities.  They both started back to swim lessons, after taking the winter off.  It is nice that the weather is beginning to get warm.  Aaron, Emily, and Dad have had a lot of fun lately...we participated in an Earth Day clean up, have gone for walks, seen the flooded Mississippi River, and just today went on a tour of Crystal Cave, which is a 4000 foot long cave in Wisconsin.  Lots of fun!!  We are looking forward to summer vacation.  Next year Aaron will be in Kindergarten!  Where does the time go.....
Eric is planning to visit his Dad in June, and take the kids camping later in June.  The kids will also spend a week with Louise and her family this summer, so they will get to have a lot of fun, for sure.
Be sure to check out
Emily's 1st Eucharist page.  This was very exciting for us all!

Well, Dad did not take the kids camping this year.  Instead, we went to the Wisconsin Dells.  We had a great time doing mini-golf, boat rides, go-karts, swimming, horseback riding, and best of all...Noah's Ark Waterpark.  You can see a couple pictures of Noah's Ark of the "Vacation 2001" page.  There will be more photos coming, once I scan and upload them.
Dad has been working and traveling a lot lately, and the kids are busy with summer activities.  Both are attending our chuch summer program.  They are having lots of fun with projects and field trips.  Aaron is also playing T-ball this summer, and Emily, Dad and others come to cheer him on.  Not surprisingly, he is one of the biggest on the team.  His favorite position is first base.
I simply cannot believe that nearly 2 years has passed since I started this site.  I have not done a good job keeping up on things, and most of you probably do not even check out the site anymore.  Since the last note, Aaron has moved from T-Ball, to machine ball (a machine pitches, but all other baseball rules apply).  Emily has played the last 2 years on a travelling softball team.  Both kids are also playing basketball in the winter months.  Today is the last day of school for the kids, so they are looking forward to the summer!
