Eric was a lowly extra for one day on this movie! He was playing an attendee at a quintet concert at the Williams College Church.
For one scene, he was required to walk out of the Church Hall's doorway and over to a group of mingling attendees.
Everytime he readied himself for this action for every take, two people, a man and a woman, would always be standing in his way. They would stand right in the doorway blocking Eric's path causing him to gingerly squeeze by the woman in order to make it to his position.
Since Eric had to walk before these two he'd have to squeeze by on every take.
When Eric told the story later about these two people blocking his path someone said, "You should have just pushed them out of the way!"
To which Eric responded, "Well, I didn't want to push Nicole Kidman and Anthony Hopkins out of the way, it'd be considered bad form." |
