Snowboard Weekend Package

Hi Guys!  Welcome to the Sports01.com information page for this year's snowboard package in Young Pyung.  Young Pyung is a ski resort situated approximately 2 and 1/2 hours from Seoul just past Phoenix Park.  It is arguably the best mountain for skiing and snowboarding in Korea.  The first week they were open, we went up there to check the place out and they already had some good powder near the top of the first run.  What is a little different about Young Pyung is the resort's tolerance for snowboarders.  I would say that snowboarders make up about 20% of the total population on the mountain at any given time.  So what's the scoop on this snowboard package?

Sports01.com is offering expats and Koreans a weekend of snowboarding! The cost is 150,000Won and includes transportation from Seoul to Young Pyung resort, lodging "Korean Style",  4 - 5 hours of snowboard instruction, Rental board, boots, and bindings, 3 meals including a BBQ dinner, Insurance, 2 additional hours of riding, and a 20% discount off of merchandise at Sole Boards in Yoksam. This is a filler camp to promote our week long English/Snowboard camp for middle and high school Koreans.

The only things not covered are transportation to and from Seoul, clothing (approx. 20-30,000Won if you do not have it already), and a 1/2 day lift ticket (approx. 30,000Won, however most people don't use it). The weekend camp starts December 16th, breaks for the Christmas holiday camp, and restarts the first week in January through February 16th. All the instructors speak English and two of the instructors speak Korean.

If you have any questions or wish to sign up, please call Eric (English) or Jun (Korean) at Sports01.com 02-541-3900.  Please sign up early to reserve your space. We are only allowing a maximum of 35 people per weekend. If you would like to request more information about our Christmas camp, please send an email (Korean or English) to ericbowman@sports01.com

Well that's the rundown, however for the people who love details I've created some more links to satisfy your interests.

Christmas Holiday Camp - This is another program we are offering adults

Staff - I'm too sexy for my board

What to Bring - Charm, charisma, ....sorry another list

Accommodation - The crib

Directions - For those crazy enough to drive in Seoul

FAQ - never cared about what other people asked.  If you have a question, just drop us a line.  We'll try to answer right away

English Language Program - Stay a week with us and we'll learn you.  English/Snowboarding lessons for Koreans.  Actually everyone is welcome, but Koreans will probably get the most out of the program.  However, it's really not a bad deal for a week of snowboard lessons either.
