A Word About Love Spells…
So many people look for spells to make someone fall in love with them, without thinking of the consequences of their actions. If you are looking for love, please don’t try to cast a spell over a particular person! Worse case scenario could go something like this: you have a crush on a guy but he has a girlfriend. You cast a love spell to make him love you. His girlfriend suddenly has a tragic accident. You are there to console the guy over the loss of his girlfriend. You eventually end up together. Well the spell worked, but do you really want a result like that on your conscience? It may sound far-fetched, but think about what you really want and how far you are prepared to get it… magick should NOT be used to harm others. Even if that is not your intention, it may be the result if you are not careful.

I’ve tried several love spells, but this is the only one that I have found to be extremely effective without fail. Take a luxurious bath or shower and dress in comfortable, but sexy, clothes or nightwear. Before you begin this spell, spend some time thinking about what you really want to achieve by casting it. Be as specific as possible – do you want to find a friend, a lover or a soulmate? Are you looking for love and romance or lust and passion? Have a clear vision in your mind of what results you are looking for.

Begin the spell on Friday, the day traditionally associated with Venus. The ritual should be repeated for seven consecutive nights. Dim the lights, leaving 2 alter candles burning - use pink for love or red for lust. Cast your circle, if you wish to do so. Take a red figure candle (either male or female, according to the gender to are most attracted to) and carve into the candle the attributes you desire. For example, the words ‘passionate’, ‘sensual’ and ‘romantic’ may best describe what you are looking for. Once you have carved the candle, anoint it with Aphrodite or Pan Oil (recipes below) while thinking of the kind of person that you want to attract. Try not to concentrate on a specific person – think about all the things you want in a mate/lover and how you would feel with that person in your life.

Raise energy (dancing is a great way to raise energy!) and empower the candle with your desire to have love and passion in your life. Sprinkle the anointed candle with Desire Powder (see below) and then place on a heatproof dish (if not casting the spell on the night of a full moon, the dish should contain some full moon water and a pinch of salt). Light some rose, musk or vanilla incense then invoke your chosen deity (Venus would be a good choice). Light the image candle and as you look into the flame, meditate on your ideal lover. Burn 1/7 of the candle, thank and dismiss the deities and close your circle. Spend the rest of the evening listening to your favourite love songs, watching a romantic movie or just thinking about the possible outcomes of the ritual. The spell should be performed for the next week. Be positive and open to new people and experiences, and you will attract what you desire!
