06 June, 2004 - Summer is almost here. The days grow longer as the nights grow shorter. As the sun's direct rays move north of the Equator to the Tropic of Cancer , here in Colorado's western desert this comes clost to unbarable. One must be reminded that this is only part of Earth's coutinuing cycle, and the soothing winds and rain of autumn are just around the corner.
As the temprature rises I comtinue to record my songs. For 77, commiting waves of sound to tape is a slow-going process. This music is so intensly personal I am almost stricken by shyness when I put this music forth into the air. But the process continues, and I am extremely proud of the outcome.
The yet un-named electronica project has made further headway. I enjoy the new music as well as rendering cover versions of songs by Samhain, Jay and the Americans, Weezer, Type O Negative, and Pat Benetar. It is so poppy and dancy that it just has this overall feeling of dark fun.
With all the hoopla of the 60th anniversary of d-day going around I have decided to write a fictionalized account of the events of World War Two as told from the point of view of a common German soldier. This story will be loosely based upon the account of events my grandfather gave me years ago, and dedecated to his memory. I by no means condone the activities of the German people durring this period, but I think it's a story that must be told.
I send my most heart-felt love. And may the glory of the merrigolds never be lost.

12 May, 2004 - Well well well... It's been a few weeks since the last update, so here's the scoop:
Recording is a little slow going right now. First of all I broke my microphone by accidentally dropping it, and my computer crashed taking 2 whole days to repair. Fortunately I had all the .wav files backed up on an external drive that was not affected by the crappiness. On the up side I've been writing alot of new material that I can't wait for you all to hear. The way it looks at the moment the 77 CD will be finished by early autumn.
In the meantime (as if I didn't already have enought to do) I'm working on a little side project of dark electronica with Brandon Miller. We already have a half a dozen songs written and we're going to record them and hand out a freebie CD at a live performance sometime this summer.
Life in general is going particularly well at the moment. I just read a spectacular book, "Sophie's World", it's amazing and I highly recomend it to everyone.
The struggle with medication continues, but things are getting alot better and I remain optimistic.
On the romantic front I am now dating the most wonderful girl. I'll refrain from using her name here because I know that if she's reading this she's already blushing...
Well, that's about all for now. I hope that everyone is well and happy. Much love to all.

23 April, 2004 - Still working on recording... It's going fairly well :)
Tomorrow night my room-mate's band, The Post-Modern Super Hero's, is playing at Higher Grounds coffee house in Grand Junction. I encourage everyone to go and check it out.
I am currently colaberating on writing a movie with Benny No-no (writer and director of "The Hose"). It's a 'dark drama' about the end of the world. Look for that within the next year.
I don't have much else to say for now. So until the next time I send all of my love.

20 April, 2004 - Okay, I finally got some sleep so I'm going to continue the message.
I started recording some more today. I'm so excited for everyone to hear what I've been doing.
The other day it was raining and I went outside to bask in the glorious smell of ozone. Something about the way the sunlight was being reflected off the moisture in the air made all the greens in the world (grass, leaves, etc.) look like they were in techincolor. It was truely a wonderful moment. It was one of those moments that you just know that you'll remember for the rest of your life. It made me feel so good to be alive. I just want to share that feeling and spread the wonder.
May all of your moments contain such mysterious glory.

19 April, 2004 - Hello. Not a whole lot of 'music news' to report at the moment.
I'm working on recording some of the new stuff, but it's a little slow going. I just have so much new material that sometimes I don't know where to start, so it's not necessarly a bad thing.
Today I got a keyboardist from a local band to agree to play with me live, so hopefully it'll happen at the next show.
I hope to have some music online within the next two weeks.
On a personal note, I've had the strangest case of insomnia. It's so wierd, but I just don't seem to get tired. As I write this I'm reminded of the saying "this too shall pass" so I'm not very concerned.
