Calgary -- The Calgary Health Region is planning to spend at least $700,000 on medical supplies for the G8 summit in nearby Kananaskis, Alta., said Ray Caddy, manager of occupational safety services. He said the region will be prepared for biochemical attacks, tear-gassings and other medical emergencies during the June summit.
"You prepare for everything. . . . for chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear incidents," Mr. Caddy said.
