Frederick E. Cooper of Atlanta will serve as the chairman of the Host Committee for the upcoming G8 Summit, which will be hosted by President George W. Bush on Sea Island, Ga. on June 8 - 10. As chairman, he will assemble corporate leaders from across the country to help ensure the summit's success.

I look forward to the hard work that lies ahead and to the tremendous worldwide attention our state will receive. I deeply appreciate the faith our leaders have placed in me. We won't let Georgia down."
Cooper is the former president of Flowers Industries and the current chairman of Cooper Capital LLC. Cooper also serves on the board of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and The University of Georgia Foundation.
