Annemasse, France - Les organisateurs altermondialistes du Sommet pour un autre monde, qui s'est tenu en amont du G8 d'Evian (sud-est), ont dénoncé mardi un «G8 pour rien», après avoir pris connaissance du communiqué final du sommet des huit grandes puissances mondiales.
«Définitivement, le G8 ne sert à rien», ont affirmé huit organisations dans un communiqué présenté lors d'une conférence de presse à Annemasse, à environ 50 km d'Evian.
Les conclusions du G8 d'Evian «nous confortent dans notre exigence de dissolution du G8 et notre appel à la mise en place d'une architecture internationale recentrée sur le droit et un système des Nations unies rénové», affirment ces huit organisations.
Alors que «les dirigeants du G8 reconnaissent la profonde crise que traverse le système actuel -- disparités croissantes, dégradation des conditions sociales, multiplication des conflits armés, environnement à l'agonie -- (...), ils réaffirment pourtant leur rhétorique néo-libérale et leur «confiance dans la croissance»», notent-t-elles.
