Society must protect children from particular pedophiles; however, society also should become more aware of this disorder.   I will now share u some information on this disorder, both from research and my life experience:
<  Low Self-esteem and constant depression are two major characteristics that lead to offences against children. Depression may be a result of a biochemical imbalance in the brain, sexual abuse trauma early in life, stress. Some pedophiles, during the height of their depression will try to find ways to make them feel better about themselves and happy.  In some cases, some pedophiles will search the Internet for pornographic images of children, and others will actually act on their impulses. This is the most important stage of a pedophiles crime cycle,  they must get help before they commit an awful act.
Pedophiles who do go on to commit acts, thinking they will better themselves, actually hurt themselves more usually, either legally or mentally.
 Most Pedophiles feel guilty and more depressed after committing a sexual act on a child.
This spiral keeps going(entering the depression, low self-esteem stage >then turning towards children). This may be referred to as the Criminal Cycle.
