A Brazilian Birthday Party
Food and Games
Last Saturday, February 18th, it was my son's 7th birthday. The theme he chose for his party was soccer and Brazil since we are getting close to the Soccer World Cup and Brazilians are crazy about soccer! My friend Carla Arena and her family were also there.
My son invited 40 friends. They are standing in this line waiting for a boat ride in the swimming pool. This huge plastic thing is an inflatable soccer field. There is water and soap all over it, so kids have to score goals, but they keep falling all the time. That's the fun about it!
We had a barbecue. In the photo I am eating roasted chicken hearts on a stick and drinking coke. The little girl, Duda, is eating meat and the boy, who is Carla's son, is eating chicken. All of them were roasted.
We had a "soccer field" cake and brigadeiros for dessert. You really have to try the recipe of brigadeiros. It's delicious!
At the end of the party, all kids received goody bags. Everything was decorated in green and yellow because these are the colors of our flag.

If you want to try the
Brazilian barbecue, you will have to come to Brazil and, of course, you are all invited.
A Springdoo message for you.
