Thursday 3rd
I had a meeting with members from all my families tonight...I met my third and fourth host mums for the first time, and everyone is very nice.  We also found out a bit more information about another exchnage student who will be coming to our club, a girl from Mexico.
After the meeting, some of my friends picked me up, and we went back to Moni's house, before we all went to the Colt Discothek for the hawaiin themed pre-graduation party of about 7 schools in the area.  It was great!  And afterwards, I stayed with Piet and his host family in Marburg (thanks to Piet's host family).

Friday 4th - The start of my School Holidays with the Straube family!!
No school today!!  The holidays have started and today I left to go to Kassel by train.  Sabine and Livia picked me up at the station.  Livia is now living with them.  So I guess you could say, I have an Aussie sister.

Monday 7th
I am enjoying my time with the Sraube family, and the holidays!! Today Ian, an American exchange friend, has come to visit for a couple of days and staying with us...so DVD's in English and a good time in Kassel is ahead.  In the next couple of days Livia and I will be cooking meals from home for the Straube family (our family), so hopefully food poisening wont be a problem and I will have a family to come back a visit again!!!
My only Internet access while living in Baunatal with the Straube's is at an Internet Cafe...so I will update as much as possible, but emails may have to wait.

Wednesday 9th
Well, Ian leaves us today after staying an extra day...but for the past couple of days we have been shopping!!  (an indulging in eis...ice cream)  I have a nice pair of shoes...the brand: Kangaroos!!! It is a very popular brand here.  I also have a nice summer jacket.  It was all on special!  But it has all been fun...including our bus trip yesterday...hehe...dont ask me where we ended up, but although the bus driver told us that this bus, the number 52 went back to Baunatal...he didnt mention having to change at Druseltal (a stop half way between Kassel and Baunatal).  And, of course when a mumbled announcement in german was made...we were all talking.  So, we continued on...after thinking that maybe the bus had turned down an unfamiliar street, we thought it would be best to stay, as it would probably turn around, and we didnt know where we were anyway.  But as we got further and further away and the time was passing...Ian went and asked the bus driver in German, if there was a way of getting to Baunatal....the bus driver said yes, that was your last chance...as he drove off from the stop...haha...very funny, NOT!!!  Well, we laughed!!  There was always the possibility of calling Sabine (...her first reaction would be to laugh...and when we eventually told her...she did!!)...but then I checked my phone...''SOS Calls Only''...great!  I cant remember the name of the place were we finally ended...but when we got there, the bus driver said that he goes back to Baunatal after a 10 min stop...so after an 1hr and a half, and a tour of the country side, we were on our way home!  It was another adventure in the life of an exchange student (...its not the first time ive had trouble with buses...or trams since arriving!)  Our day ended with watching more DVD's in English and staying up until 2am this morning!  (The DVD's we watched during Ian's stay included...Gone in 60 seconds, Pearl Harbour, and Bridget Jones' Diary....which in germany is called Schockolade zum Frühstuck...which funnily translates to: Chocolate for Breakfast...can someone please tell me the relevance of this title!!)

Friday 11th - Day trip to Hann. Münden  (
...photos)
We did our first state border crossing to go see an old town called Hann. Münden ....where Sabine grew up.  It was very pretty...Sabine, her mum, Carl, Livia and I went.

The entry I had written under current notes, at the internet cafe before the trip:
On Sunday I will be going to the Nederlands, and more specifically Amsterdam, for a couple of days with the Straube family and Livia!!  it is going to be awesome!!!  i will let you know how it goes.

I must now rush off as i am still sitting here typing in the internet cafe when I must be meeting my host mum in 10mins, to go on a little trip...Livia is still typing too.  Bye.
