Hann. Münden

Friday 11th April - We did our first state border crossing to go see an old town called Hann. Münden ....where Sabine grew up.  It was very pretty...Sabine, her mum, Carl, Livia and I went. Hann. Münden, is a beautiful old town, which was great to wander around and learn about some of its history.  As you will see in one of the photos, it was once completely surrounded by a wall, like many of the older towns.

This is a very old bridge on the entrance to the old town...in the background you can see the beautiful old houses.

This shows a narrow street, with the old houses, which look as though they are about to fall, this is because they make each new level larger (due to taxes on the street space used).  Similar views are found any many old towns, incl. Marburg.

The Rathaus (town hall) or Hann. Münden.  Very decorative...at the top is a little performance about Dr. Eisenach...this happens every hour.
