Seven of Nine wandered the hallways of the Andromeda Ascendant, her cortical implant memorizing her path so that she wouldn’t get lost. Observing the Netizchean from earlier in her way, she slowed down.
“What are you?” Tyr asked. “I know you’re not human, at least not completely.”
   “I was a Borg.”
   “Meaning?”
“A race of biomechanoids that assimilate members of different species against their will in order to achieive perfection.”
“All right. So why did you say ‘were’?”
“Because Captain Janeway liberated me. The only reason that I have some Borg components still inside me is because I cannot live without them.”
“So you are weak then? Your life depends on having machinery in your body?”
Seven’s anger flared, an emotion she rarely expressed. “If I am weak for that reason, then you are weak for depending on your organs.”
Tyr, unwilling to admit even verbal defeat, changed the subject. “Why are you away from the others?”
“None of your business.” Seven pushed her way past Tyr.
“It is.” The simple sentence made her stop and turn around. “I don’t know you. You could be dangerous.”
“You want to know? All right. I had a fight with one of those people who is right now talking with Captain Janeway. I would rather not see him. Satisfied?” Without waiting for an answer, she turned and continued on her way.
