My 9/11 Experience
Tuesday, September 11th started out like any other normal day at TFHS.  I got to second block (history), and a couple minutes later, Bobby runs into the room and says "Turn on the TV.  The World Trade Center just got bombed."  In fact, they had not been bombed, as we found out a little bit later.  They had been attacked by two hijacked planes flying out of Boston.  I live about 2 hours from Boston...4 hours from NYC.  This hits waaayyy closer to home than, say, the Oklahoma City bombing did.

I don't think I did one bit of school work that day.  The news was on in every classroom and that's all I did, watch the news and talk about the tragedy.  The halls were very quiet.

Everything else is kind of a blur.  The rest of the week I watched the news a lot, did minimal amounts of homework, and tried to get on with my life.  I don't think I ever outright cried, because it never really fully hit me.  But today, on the one-year anniversary, it's hitting me a lot harder.  I've felt like crying several times today.

So that's where I was.  Where were you?  Write me about it in my guestbook, I like hearing other people's stories.
