Manure of any kind put in a plastic bucket or trash can filled 1/4 the way full and add water to the rest. Let sit for at least 2 weeks in the sun make for a great plant food breakfast. Pour on the ground next to the rose not getting on the leaves of the plant. Apply once or twice a month.
This also works good on all plants and trees.
