Unique in being the fist published book about The Beatles, rushed out by the publishers of 'The Beatles Monthly'. A wonderful timepiece, valuable for what it typefies
and not what it says.
Brian Epstein gave his blessing to the project and Peter Jones, editor of 'Record Mirror', penned the manuscript. Jones (who used the pseudonym Billy Shepherd for his Beatles Monthly articles) was the first journalist from a southern music paper to interview the group.
This book is rich in anecdotal material from the pre-1963 period.
