MADETH GRAY'LL

- INTRODUCTION-

+ Pronunciation: madeisu gureiru
+ Status: indies - disbanded
+ Begin: 1997/08
+ End: 2001/01/29

The history of Madeth gray'll begun with Hisui, Yukina, Shizuru and Hizumi. Hisui (which were called KEI) and Yukina are the two principal members of the group, the only ones which will have lived the adventure till the end.The first wrote all the lyrics and the most of the compositions with the second. They met thanks to Shizuru which remained with Hisui in "Vierge" and Yukina (who was guitar) in "LUCYFER". The formation will not have an official drummer before the following year. In this time they realase four demo-tapes between the beginning of November and the end of December. At the Beginning of 1998, the group was always the same one except that KEI changed their name into Hisui.March was very prolific for them because they released three demo-tapes in one week, and another 4 in April whith six songs including two news and a normal version of "kyoushi kyoku".Sadly, a double drama happened on May 1998... First drama, national, hide (ex-guitarrist of X-Japan) died and Japan lose one of the biggest stars. Second drama and which touch Madeth gray' ll more directly, it is the death a few days later of their guitarist Hizumi who suicided himself in a car accident when he was going to the hide's funeral. The roof in all that, it is that the preceding group of Hizumi was called "eternal life". But Madeth gray'll decided to continue and their first drummer,Tsubaki, was an official member. With him they payed a last homage to their friend, Hizumi, republishing on CD, a song that he composed a few months before his death, "Hakuchu yume No sangeki".The CD had two versions, white and black, distributed at lives of August 8th and 9th and during them, they also offered a promotional video of "Parasite".Then, like marking their return, they release the following day their first true individual CD "Juujika No ketsumatsu". Unfortunately in the following months, the band doesn't go well so Shizuru and Tsubaki, left Madeth gray'll leaving Hisui and Yukina alone. But the band didn't despair and finished this black year with the exit of a video clip entitled "Rasen kaiden to kioku". 1999 are the year of the revival for them because Kisaki (actually, bassist of Phantasmagoria) created a new label and it help them. They collaborated at the first compilation of Matina, "New age culture". Decided to rebuild Madeth gray' ll, Hisui and Yukina found a new guitarist, Izumi. His name is written without "H" in memory of Hizumi and he came from the group "Distray". With him, they re-recorded their single that was released on June 30th. Another single, "MOTHER COMPLEX", was distributed as a free gift at a concert on August 9th, 1999, when they found another new guitarist Ukyou. Unfortunately, Ukyou didn't remain a long time with the group. However 2000 was the year of the dedication for them and had the beautiful days of Matina. With a new drummer, Reika, that joined them in October, they released their first album, called "Lucifer".But Yukina was tired by all the vexations met and decided to leave the group. The other members didn't want to continue without him, so they decided to stop. The advertisement was made by Hisui on November 28th at a live during they sold a special single. The following day they released a mini-album, "Boukai No mato-Entith marge-", and Airi (their unofficial guitarrist) became an official member for the few weeks of existence that he stayed with the group. Their last concert was on January 29th, 2001, during it they offered a video live for the purchase of their memorial album released the following day.
