Peter Ellenshaw: " The censor had vetoed a shot of a huge naked idol. Although in India that was not considered obscene, in England things were different. People of a delicate nature would probably faint at the sight of a large member on the statue. We were called in to get rid of it, ... we removed the offending article. But when our altered scene was viewed by the protectors of British sensitivity, we were told we had turned the thing into a woman!... Pop (Percy Day) came up with the answer: put some vines around it... after many tests we joined it all together and shot the scene... the scene was finally cut into the movie and England´s morality was saved. "
