To create your first pet and join this wonderful world,just click on the banner above or on any of my pets“pictures and sign up for an account.You'll be asked for some generic information and no, you don't have to give your real name.
After you've created an account it's a good idea to create a pet as well. This really is the idea behind the whole site and not having a pet can exclude you from some games and the Battledome.
To create your pet click the Create a Pet link from the yellow bar and choose a species, some pets are limited edition which means that only a few pets of that species are released and some a restricted which means you have to do special things to get them.
After you've choosen a species of pet you'll be whisked away to a form where you'll need to fill out information about your pet.
Be patient when it comes to naming your pet. There are a lot of Neopets out there so you may have to get two names that you really like and combine them to create a new name.
After naming your pet you can 'roll' the stats of the pet. Try to make sure that all of the stats are average or better and that the attempt is 4 or higher. The page says that you can only have 5 rolls, believe it or you'll get stuck...

How fostering?,you may wonder.
Well,you can have up to four neopets in your account and you can create up to four accounts(there“s some rules you must follow,so make sure you read them when you start playing;don“t worry:they are easy to follow,mainly to prevent cheaters to ruin the fun for others ^.~).
When someone doesn“t want their neopet anymore they abandone them in the pound ~:(~ so others can adopt them and take care of them.
Some people also adopt pets from the pound,then heal,train and take care of them until they became strong,wise and beautiful pets,so they can easily find a new permanent home and that“s what I“m doing with this last one here :)
