The Mask in the Iron Man Part 5: Blood Brothers
Written by Joe Quesada. Art by Sean Chen and Rob Hunter
Marvel Comics

Cover: Joe Q provides another smoking cover, too bad we can't see his art on Daredevil on a regular basis. The cover is very bright, a dynamic piece of art. If you can truly base a book by it's cover than this should be one killer action book. I like it.

The Story: This conclusion to the now epic Iron Man story involves Tony and IM stranded on a remote deserted island (that Tony owns by the way, just to prove how rich the guy is). The basis is that the Armor has turned on Tony and wants to take his place in the world. At the end of last issue the Armor took Tony to the island and ended in a great cliffhanger, well this issue provides a great end to that cliffhanger. Tony is struggling to get free and survive againest the Armor. But will all end perfect just like the rest of Tony's life? You'll have to pick it up to find out.

The Writing: Joe Q. provides another great chapter in one of the greatest IM stories ever told. The plot is great and full of surprises. The dialogue is quick and sharp and there isn't too much of it (take notes Mr. Claremont). Great story.

The Art: Sean Chen is one of the best artists you've ever really enjoyed. His art is sharp and is sure to make alot of people happy. He draws better human characters than the Armor itself. The lines in the armor are too many and a bit too dark. But overall combined with the excellent inks of Rob Hunter, this is some snappy art.

Overall: If you have picked up the first four parts of this arc it's a lock that you are going to get this. But if you haven't picked up the earlier parts: what the hell is wrong with you? This one one of the best Iron Man stories ever. Pick up this book.

Rating: 9 out of 10. Not quite perfect, but it's still one of the best books out there.

Similar Tastes: If you like this book, than you should enjoy other classic Marvel Heroes: Captain America, Thor, and Avengers. Plus you'll enjoy Joe Q's other great Marvel book Daredevil, along with the other MK books. Plus you'll like the new Superman books.
