Fall Project: Presentation on Endangered Species

Presentation Time: 5-6 minutes
Presentation Format: PowerPoint, Overhead, or Storyboard


Topics to cover in Presentation:
- Common and Scientific Name of Species
- What does species look like
- Species current and original natural habitat
- How many were around at first and how many are left
- When species was discovered
- How long species has existed
- Diet of species
- Travel or migration patterns of species
- Life span and reproductive pattern of species
- Role in the environment and food chain
- Why this species is important
- Species usefulness to humans
- Projection of what would happen if species becomes extinct
- Why they are endangered
- What is being done about their endangerment
- What else could be done about their endangerment
- Any clubs or societies that one could join to lend support (include contact info such as phone # and web site)


In addition to the presentation, include an electronic copy (saved disk version) of presentation to be added to the class web site.
