Esquerita

BIBLIOGRAPHY

Esquerita

Many books on 50's rock and roll include a mention of Esquerita, but invariably it is little more than a footnote explaining where Little Richard picked up his piano stylings. Little Richard acknowledged his debt to Esquerita in his autobiography, Little Richard: Get Rich Quick, where he calls him "one of the greatest pianists". The bibliography here list sources which consist of more than a mere passing mention. Some valuable sources not listed here are CD liner notes, especially the biographical material written by Steve Kolanjian for the Capitol Collectors Series CD (1990).
