In the globalizing world that we live in, it is no longer possible to overlook the countless victims of conflict and political interests around the world.  Though this is not a problem micronationally, there has been a growing outcry for increased protection of life around the world.

There are a number of EIDA programs that focus on fostering a suitable global stage for human security.  EIDA cooperates in the follwing areas:
*
Landmines
* Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons
*
Third world debt
*
Global famine
* Conflicts in Colombia, Congo, Somalia, Zimbabwe, Sierra Leone, and the Phillipines
*
Exploitation of children by conflict and sore economic plans
* HIV/AIDS
*
Small arms trade
* Illegal trade of persons
*
Non-nuclear proliferation
*
Universal Human Rights

The Eslonian Government's involvement in these issues is of paramount importance.  Though few campaigns of international level are actually EIDA initiatives, EIDA supports a vast number of campaigns that relate to the areas above.  By promoting local and regional activities among Eslonians, Eslo plays its part as a player in the global activist and analyst field.

A campaign that is truly Eslonian is the
National Landmines Awareness Program.  This campaign raises awareness about the issue of anti-personel mines among members of civil society.  Through Eslonian citizens working with groups such as the International Campaign to Ban Landmines, the Red Cross, and Adopt-a-Minefield, a large amount of attention is brought to this truly devastating problem.  The NLAP includes numerous programs which include fundraising dinners, letter writing campaigns, direct monetary contributions, seminars, workshops, and other events.  By playing a key role in the NLAP, EIDA promotes Eslonian values abroad, which ultimately push for peace in all societies.

Not all Human Security projects involve intense social action.  Many EIDA activities and projects consist of promotion and support.  Certain academic scholars and centres for human security receive input and support from EIDA on both a regular and by-request basis.
In fact, education about human security is essential in the promotion of humanitarian ideals that are characteristic to Eslo.  Yearly, EIDA, in various capacities support the
Global Issues Symposium for Youth.  As a project of the Canadian Red Cross, the four-day camp exposes youth to the global issues that exist in the world today.  EIDA has contributed by providing technical expertise through its agents.  By becoming a "resource leader", Eslonian can contribute to the betterment of the world we live in.  As per a Royal Order passed in 2000, the Government of Eslo is encouraged to work with the local Red Cross societies in any way it can.  Largely because of the fundamental principles which are Humanity, Impartiality, Neutrality, Independence, Voluntary Service, Unity and Universality, EIDA can work closely with this organization around the world.

Eslonian citizens have also participated in several meetings and workshops organized by national Red Cross societies.  In Europe, a large number of Eslonian citizens have attended events directly related to
International Humanitarian Law.  Under the encouragement of EIDA, Eslonian citizens are enabled to network with the appropriate people in their area, thus pushing more strongly towards a world full of human security.
