It is with great sorrow (and joy!) that I say our baby Cameron went to heaven to be with Jesus. The angels took him home on Saturday, August 18, 2001, (Transplant Day +16) at 4:43 am. I held him in my arms as he died, and I will forever find comfort in knowing that the last face he saw on this earth was his Mommy's (he was not alone!). Our struggle is still far from over, as we now have to make the trip back home to Alabama to lay our son to rest, but I know God will give us the strength we need. I want to thank each one of you who has laughed with us, cried with us, prayed with us and lifted us up as we made this journey with Cameron. He was a special soul who touched many lives, and I know each person he met will never be the same again. He was a great blessing and the light of our lives - we will love him and miss him always.In Christian love,
