- My responsibilities at Geoplan Center include quality assurance and quality control of GIS data and metadata for the Florida Geographic Data Library (www.fgdl.org).

·         Johnson Engineering, Ft. Myers, Fl. (Summer 2002)

- Worked with the water management department and planning department.  Developed an office wide GIS that supplied data to the Johnson Engineering staff as well as clients.  This task utilized many GIS platforms including ArcGIS 8.1, ArcView 3.2 and MapGuide.  Worked under the guidance of Mike Lohr, Project Manager.

·         Wilson Miller, Naples, Fl. (Summer 2001)

- Worked in the GIS department using software packages including ArcInfo 7.2, ArcInfo 8, ArcView 3.2, and AutoCad.  Performed various tasks including database management, map production, and GIS analysis.  Worked under the guidance of Will Walter, Database Manager.

·         Internship with Community Redevelopment Agency of Gainesville (2/99-8/99)

- Worked on blight studies encompassing different sections of Gainesville.  Worked under the guidance of Corey O’Gorman, Community Redevelopment Manager.

·         Summer internship at University of Maryland (summer 1998)

- Worked on a study involving Pima Indians. We explored questions on how genetics, as well as environmental factors, affect the incidence of diabetes within the Pima population.

- Learned valuable techniques in researching while working in a professional environment.
