Marzo 4 : la compañía independiente discos y cintas denver, extiende una firma de contrato para distribuir a nivel nacional su primer disco en estudio.
Marzo 6 : especimen graba en vivo en el ex balneario olimpico de la ciudad de mexico d.f. ante una asistencia record de 4000 personas. catalogado como el mejor concierto punk de la decada por la revista banda rockera.
Marzo 12 : regresan a la ciudad de tijuana invitados por el programa ritmos de ciudad para compartir por primera vez gira con los angeles del infierno, el primer evento se celebro en el antro La Faena Rock ante un lleno total.
Abril 13 : el fotografo Alfonzo Lorenzana es invitado para tomar las fotografias de una rata para el disco genetica .
En mayo de ese año el grupo es invitado por el centro cultural tijuana ( c.e.c.u.t. ) para musicalizar la obra de teatro " alicia detrás de la pantalla." escrita por mario moncada y dirigida pór barbarella pardo.
Junio 12 : se filma el primer video promocional " corazon amargo." presentadolo en la obra de teatro que se extreno el 23 de julio de 1994 en el gran teatro de la ciudad, con un éxito total la obra se presento posteriormen te en todos los teatros de la localidad, asi mismo participo en la muestra estatal de ese año llevadoce nuevamente el 1er lugar. lo cual les dio el pase a la xi muestra regional de teatro oscar liera celebrado esta vez en la ciudad de tepic nayarit.
Noviembre 1 : la revista conecte publica entrevista a nivel nacional por el lanzamiento debut del disco " genetica."
Noviembre 19 : especimen da a conocer y presenta por primera vez su nuevo disco " genetica ." celebrado en el museo mexitlan de tijuana con una asistecia de 2000 personas quienes fueron testigos de una excelente produccion.
Diciembre 7 : se extiende una firma de contrato por parte de la compañía rock dreams para distribuir internacionalmente las camisetas originales del grupo.
A finales de ese año especimen recive reconocimientos como el mejor grupo de hardcore mexicano de todo el pais por la prensa especializada de rock. para ese tiempo especimen habia sumado ya mas de 60 canciones, 36 ciudades, 28 programas de radio, 9 conferencias, 3 obras de teatro, 7 grabaciones y un sin fin de entrevistas en fanzines y revistas de varias partes del mundo.
