What is included on this website? | ||||||
This site was created to assist teachers and students with finding useful, authentic sources which can be used for, or to supplement, lessons in English for Specific Purposes (ESP) classes. The internet has a vast array of real, practical examples of how English is used in a myriad of situations. It is the hope of the web designer that these links will be a starting point for opening up a multitude of new possibilities for people interested in ESP. The majority of the sites which I have provided links to will be useful for task-based lessons. Task-based lessons can be a very useful way to include technology and authentic internet sources in your classroom. However, these types of lessons are meant to supplement you lessons. Communicative learning should still play a major roles in language classes. Please send information regarding dead links or new links to the web designer at espzone@yahoo.com. I have also including lesson plans for some of the sites. This is a work in progress. The lesson plans are available for sites with the keys next to the link. Just click on the keys! Teachers are uerged to suggest addtional sites and lesson plans which will work or have worked for their students. Proper credit will be given. |
