  • I'm too lazy to write anything here...
What I'm listening to this week - 11/18/04:
  • VERSE - "Rebuild"
Youth-crew, Go-style, old-school-feelin' HARDCORE. Plain and simple. I love it.
  • DEATH ANGEL - "Frolic Through the Park"
Lately, I've been trying to track down all the metal albums I used to listen to in the 80's. I consider this one a classic. For the time this came out, it wasn't your typical thrash metal. There's some really strong vocals here, a little experimenting with some punk riffs, and a dash of interesting bass work. All in all, great metal.
  • DJ SHADOW - "In Tune and On Time"
DJ Shadow could release a CD of him burping and I'd buy it. This CD/DVD is a continuous live mix of his stuff from all his albums and side projects. If you like Shadow, no question you'll like this.
  • HANDSOME BOY MODELING SCHOOL - "White People"
I'm glad they didn't end up beign a one-shot deal. The new album has tons of great guest stars (from both the rap and rock worlds). And, or course, great beats from Prince Paul and the Automator.
  • LARS FREDERIKSEN AND THE BASTARDS - "Viking"
I gotta admit, I like Rancid, but haven't really been able to get into their last few releases. But this, Lars' side gig, is really catchy. It's very Rancid-like, but something about it really grabs me.
  • EMINEM - "Encore"
I'm still waiting for the day that I'm sick of this guy and think he's corny. But every album he puts out has me hooked at the first listen. I don't care what you think, this guy has skills.
  • HOT WATER MUSIC - "The New What Next"
"Remedy" was an incredible album. I loved it because it showed a more rockin'/more punk side of these guys. When I first heard this album, I was bummed because it highlights more of their mellower side. But after listening to it a few times, it totally grew on me. You can tell the musical growth and progression these guys are making with this release.
