Gennai, the real hero

It all starts in season 1, when the Digidestined group defeated Devimon. A strange beam came from the ground and a small and old man appeared. His name was Gennai. He asked them for a favor, to travel to a new ditgital continent called Server to defeat the evil digimon that reside there. Also, he tells them they must find Crests and Tags that Devimon hid. With those crests and tags, their digimons will be able to digivolve even higher. The kids began finding their tags in a cave and crests one after another. But they don't really know how to use them. So Gennai tells they must take care of their digimons or they wont digivolve properly. Kinda like the incident with SkullGreymon that Tai accidentally caused. The digidestined will defeat Etemon and will face a new enemy, Myotismon. Though, they must be alert, Myo is searching for an eight digidestined. Unfortunately, Myo will be able to get through the gate to the real world leaving the digidestined kids behind. At Gennai's house under the lake, he will give them key cards that must be placed correctly in slots to open the gate to the real world. If they are wrongly placed, they may end in another world.

We also know that Gennai is responsible for creating the digidestined in the first place. When he was young, he and his partners worked on keeping the digital world stable. But Piedmon and his goons just rushed in and killed all of the workers. Piedmon wanted to take the digi eggs, the tags, the crests and the digivices. But Gennai, who survived, jumped into a robot suit and took them all away before Piedmon could lay his hands on them. Unfortunately, on the way, a digiegg was dropped. It was Gatomon's digiegg. The crests were created corresponding to the most powerful quality in each kid who witnessed the fight between Parrotmon and Greymon in Highton View Terrace.

Gennai also appeared for the last battle between the kids from season 01 and apocalymon. Gennai told em about who apocalymon was which might of helped em a way or another. But we have to think kinda deep for this one. His last appearance as an old man was the episode, when the digidestined had to say goodbye to their digimon. Gennai told them they coudnlt stay any longer because they had to go before the eclipse was completed. If it were to be complete, the gate would be closed forever therefore, preventing the kids from getting back home...

Gennai will appear in season 02 also. He will be there when the end of the season nears. Gennai will appear in different countries under a different name. Its kinda weird actually, it's just like he has a bunch of twins. He passed under the names Ilya, Jose...forget the other ones lol. Here are all the Gennais from the different countries:

I really hope you enjoyed this mini Gennai shrine. No one had ever made one before so :). I think Gennai is pretty good looking too. You gotta agree with me on this! Come on!
