Inventory Optimization of Systems:
System Availability
Should you need information about this topic and/or my software application to implement these inventory models, please email me.
Application determines the optimal stock levels of repairable items necessary for the operation of high-technology, high-investment, systems or equipments (aircraft fleets, ships, telecommunication networks, production equipment). These repairable items tend to be high-cost, low-demand, and subject to long lead times.

Application determines the stock levels that will achieve a target
system availability using the smallest expenditure of resources. Alternatively, the application can determine the stock levels that will maximize system availability with a given spares inventory budget.

Application can handle the following system environments:
-
Single site inventory for repairable items
-
Multi-echelon inventories for repairable items. Jointly optimizes the stock levels at the operating sites and the supporting depot
-
Multi-indenture extension. Demand for an item may result in demand for lower indenture repair parts.
