A little Eta Delta Herstory . . .

The Eta Delta Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. was founded in 1978 on the campus of the University of California, San Diego.  While all members of the Divine Nine are represented in San Diego, most are centered at San Diego State University (SDSU) and Eta Delta is the only BGLO with an official chapter at UC San Diego.  Demonstrating the widespread love for Sigma, we are the only BGLO to have two chapters in the San Diego area, Eta Delta at UCSD and Delta Gamma at SDSU!
In the spirit of our beloved founders, Eta Delta consistently strives to meet the needs of the African American community at predominantly-white UCSD, as well as in the  San Diego community.
The Eta Delta Chapter is still young, reactivated in 1995 after a hiatus, but has continued to grow every year.  We are very proud to have boasted a national and a regional officer, since our reactivation. Eta Delta has, and always will, consisted of the finest, brightest, and successful women at UC San Diego!
