Ok, Card Captor Sakura (also known as Card Captors in the english) is also aimed toward young adolesant females. The story line is based around a young girl named Sakura who stumbles upon a weird book in her father's library collection with strange cards inside. Sakura picks up the top card and reads its name, "W-W-i-n-d-y" (she couldn't read english in the Japanese version very well), but anyway, all of a sudden all of the cards except the one still in her hand (Windy Card) fly out of her house and are released upon the world. After all of them have gone out her roof, a small cat-like creature comes out of the book, the guardian of what he called the Clow Cards. He told Sakura his name was Kero and that it was her responsibility to retrieve all of the cards before they do any serious damage to the world with their awesome powers. With the help of Kero-chan and her Clow Key, which by the way is the only way to safely capture the cards (is there any real safe way to?) she'll set out on what'll surely be her greatest challenge yet! Thankfully she has the help of Kero, Yue (the second Clow guardian), and her best friend Tomoyo- who by the way makes all her battle costumes! ^_~+
Later, she gets help with capturing the Clow Cards from a young man named Li and his companion Mei-Lin. Card Captor Sakura his a total of two seasons, the first is just capturing the cards, the second is using the cards against real villains like Spinal and Rubymoon. |
