Ok, so lets just say that when you were young your father took you on a training journey, and that years later you end up in China when your god-forsaken dad doesn't even speak one single word of Chinese! But anyway, lets also say that you went training in Jusankio, the cursed spring, and that if you fall into one of its ponds you will turn into what ever died there last. Well, lets ALSO say that both you and your father fell into two of those springs...and now whenever you're splashed with cold water you become your opposite sex, and your dad becomes a panda, and warm water brings you back.....
Well, that's what happened to unfortunate Ranma Saotome and his father. So now, he's devoted his life to finding a cure 'cause if he doesn't, for example when it rains he becomes an attractive, red haired girl (and his dad a panda). As a child we was engaged to Akane Tendou, a hot-headed martial artist. But now he has other problems on his hands other than his fiance: a Chinese Amazon woman named Shampoo, his "second" fiance Ukyo, and an annoying girl (who looks older than himself/herself) Kodachi; and they're all after winning his heart! But beware of the lovers of those girls Ran-chan! And don't forget that he can accidently attract the likes of Kuno with his female half! But his curse is shared when Shampoo by cold water turns to a kitty, Ryoga (a boy deeply in love with Akane) into a little black pig named P-chan that acts as Akane's pet, and Moouse (secret lover of Shampoo) into a goose!
