DOMINION  OVER THE  ELEMENTS

There is a phrase that is commonly used on this planet that refers to ‘man having dominion over the elements’. What do you think that means? A typical male dominant perspective interpretation might be that it is speaking of humanity harnessing nature and using it to further the advances of modem civilization.
We have a different interpretation to explore with you. As you may know by now, we love to build and play with models of consciousness to explore certain possibilities that we might not be able to explore without them.
Let’s say the elements referred to are the basic Earth, Air, Fire, and Water elements. And lets say these are symbolic representations of different aspects of consciousness. For instance:
Earth...
represents the natural, organic flow of the rhythms and cycles of life. It represents the process of manifestation —— of bringing
 things into form here.
Air...
represents the mental nature, the ability to cognize, to think, to come up with ideas, the ability to perceive and to define reality.
Fire...
represents passion for life, the ability to take a stand for what is important to your spirit, the burning behind your sense of purpose and direction, and your fierceness.
Water...
represents the emotional nature and the ability to sense and discern. It encompasses the psychic nature, the ability to feel what is going on around you and the ability to empathize with others.
We think that having dominion over the elements as defined here means having the ability to use any one of these elements in whatever way your spirit directs you in order to manifest—without having any of them run you.
How many of these elements do you have dominion over, and how many have dominion over you?
Someone who has dominion over the Earth element is usually very patient and at peace with the organic process of manifestation on this plane. They have an innate understanding of the flow of nature and find it fairly easy to surrender to divine timing and rhythm.
Someone who does not yet have dominion over the Earth element is often very impatient and tries to ‘make things happen’. They never really manifest anything of importance to them because they give up when the manifestation doesn't happen right away. They never stick with anything long enough to see it through its natural timing. Frustration is often their constant companion.
A being who has dominion over the Air element is someone who is very comfortable using vision to manifest their true reality. They are also very relaxed in using the power of definition to work with the universal principle that ‘the Universe rearranges itself to accommodate your picture of reality’. They will tend to freely use models of consciousness to explore possibilities and then discard them when they no longer serve. They are beings who have ideals, but are not attached to them.
If the Air element is running things, the being has a tendency to run rough-shod over their emotions and always be referencing everything through their mental body. There is an ability to come up with endless theories and the tendency to try to create the illusion that they know what is going on and that everything is ‘just fine’. When certain things begin to happen that are uncomfortable for them, they ‘disappear into the air’, and are not fully present. They will often stubbornly serve their idealism while ignoring what their spirit is directing them to do. They are often so locked into what they think the rules are that they lead very rigid and non-spontaneous lives.
Beings who have dominion over the Fire element are very passionate about their lives. They have no problem fiercely standing up for their truth and focusing their energy on what is truly important to them. They are not afraid of their emotions or of expressing them. They are often very purposeful and carry a lot of spiritual force.
Someone without dominion over the Fire element will often either be angry or mistake their fierceness for anger and repress it because they are afraid of it. They may have a tendency to be stubborn and narrow-minded and sometimes abusive to others. They can also have a tendency to be very unfocused. They will let other people or circumstances determine their actions and often take the ‘victim’ position.
The qualities of one who has dominion over the Water element are usually that of someone who is very attuned to what is going on around them—psychically or otherwise. They are often compassionate and understanding and will tend to see things that someone else might not. They usually feel things quite deeply and freely explore their rich inner world of emotional color and mystical experience.
One who does not have dominion over the Water element is usually run by their emotions portends to run from them. They can easily become lost in them and have a tendency’ to indulge their emotional nature. They are usually swimming in a sea of all the energies around them and often have a hard time discerning what is really theirs and what belongs to someone else in terms of consciousness and experience. They often think of themselves as being ‘too sensitive’.
~ If any one of these elements is running you, you will probably have a hard time hearing  your spirit when it speaks to you. And if you are being run by more than one (as most people are) you will find yourself fairly immersed in exaggerated distortions instead of being in touch with what is truly happening. When these elements are the determining factors in your life, much of your own wholeness is unavailable to you and therefore unable to be explored and loved.
Beings have many distorted ideas about these elements which cause them to be afraid of them. Many people think the Fire element is dangerous. They think they will be out of control if they interact with it and that they or those that they love will get burned. They think if they allow themselves to become acquainted with the Water element that they will drown in their emotions and feel things that they won’t be able to face. And there are those that think that if they interact too closely with the Air element that they will have to look at things that they would rather not see. Or they think that they will become ‘ungrounded’, an ‘airhead’, someone unable to ‘cope with reality’. And some beings are afraid of the Earth element because they think that if they actually begin to manifest things that they will be too tied down to this plane and become mired in materialism.
All of these distortions have emerged our of people's experiences e these element having dominion over them.
Try to imagine what it might be like for you to have dominion ow these elements. They all represent different aspects of your wholeness You could be someone who is completely comfortable with who you an Someone who is able, through vision (Air), to clearly define the realitiy that you wish to manifest. Someone who has the fierceness and strength (Fire) to take a stand for that when necessary, and who has the patience (Earth) to engage fully as that manifestation unfolds organically. And you could be one who has the intuitive awareness (Water) to. in moment by  moment interactions, know whether you were interacting with energies that are supporting or undermining the reality that you are manifesting.
Then, again, you could be someone who (with the Fire element) has the fierceness to take a stand for your reality and confront that which might b undermining the manifestation of it. Then (using the Air element) redefine reality to re-engage in doing the next thing (by using the Earth element) an to then tune in freshly (with the Water element) to discern your environment and on and on it goes.
These four basic elements are all different ways in which your spit can express through you. They all represent vital pieces of the manifesto non process, found within your own beingness. You are a mobile aspect e this planet, so of course you carry within you the same basic elements the the planet does. If you are someone who is here to contribute to the evolu tion of this planet, you will find it very helpful to make friends with these elements — these aspects of your wholeness — so you can hilly engage with the process of manifesting your divinity and participating with the emergence of a new civilization here.
Blessings on yourr joumney! ~
