She'd squinted when the light of the sun had found her gaze, pools of deepest black scanned curiously around the cold, and vast new world she'd just been brought into. A smiling face, a handsome grin as proud parents gazed at last into the eyes of their beloved daughter. The toddler cub waddled around, experimenting with her new legs, stretching them as much she could, and attempting to squeak, or muster a roar. She bounced gleefuly with her new siblings and snuggled into the warmth of their mother, soft, fur warm against her small frame. Eyes had found the looming form of her half sister Koasi, and already she could see the look of loathing eminate from the felines visage and careless glance in their direction. A tiny little head tilted and a snarl was sent her way like sharp daggers that pierced the skin. A wince. Insantly she knew that there would be an uneasy air around this, her eldest sibling. |
