Author's Notes: Just felt like doing a silly drabble ^_^
It was often assumed that the shrewd tactical minds of the sons of Elrond had been trained and honed by their highly experienced tutors and legendary father.
Those who were part of the Last Homely Household, or to whom fell- with astonishing regularity- such minor tasks as repairing furniture, darning clothing, replacing plant-pots and cleaning floors, walls- and, occasionally, ceilings- suspected otherwise.
"Arwen!" A seething storm in the shape of Elrohir thundered from the balcony of his bedchamber. "Do you know who painted this- this heart on my mirror? I was only out of my room for a quarter of an hour!"
"I fear not, brother mine," replied his younger sister calmly from their mother's garden down below. "I saw none enter or leave through your window or balcony, though, and I have been here all morning." Half-hidden behind a row of healthy rosebushes, she picked up her shears with gloved hands and exhibited them as evidence.
Once Elrohir had returned indoors and could be heard roaring
through the corridors for his twin, Arwen quickly got to her feet and left,
clutching the woven basket that was quite devoid of plant-stalks but filled
with brushes and pots of black ink.
