“Excuse me,” Sinbad said as he tried to get someone’s attention
“Everyone seems to be extremely busy here” Firouz said
“Here” a little boy gave a flower to Bryn
“Thank you” Bryn accepted it
“There’s a another village on the other side of the island. Everyone here is busy, always.” The little boy said
“Why is that?”
“I dunno, but you should try the people in the other village, they’re nicer. I’m from there but I have to wait for my mommy to be done here”
“That shouldn’t take too long” Sinbad said
“Well bye bye!” The little boy ran off
“He’s taken a liking to you” Doubar said
“Well let’s see what this other village is like then” Sinbad said as he headed out.
When they finally left the village, a dark gust of wind appeared and the village disappeared. And standing there was a man dressed in dark clothes. He smiled to himself.
“Soon, soon we will be together” he said
The crew walked and reached the end of the forest where they reached a clear open plain. It was a golden yellow plain that had several shiny metal rocks scattered all around. And the clearing lead up to another lush forest. The crew walked past the metal rocks and headed to the forest.
“I’ve never seen so many different types of metal here out in the open.” Firouz said
The crew had almost made it to the beginning of the forest when a woman appeared before them, blocking their entrance.
She had long blonde hair, with a silver headband. She wore a short silver skirt with 2 small chains on the sides holding it together, with a silver bra. She had 2 armbands with a delicate design on it. On her hip was two silver rings with green ribbons tied to it. She had 2 similar but smaller rings as bracelets. The ribbons flowed freely in the wind. She had knee high boots which were firmly planted in the ground as she blocked their entrance.
“You cannot enter” she announced
“We need to go through the forest.” Sinbad said
“No you don’t”
“It will take us an extra day to go around the forest”
“Then it will be an extra day for you to live then”
“We heard the village nearby that there was another village on the other side of the forest”
“There is no villages on this island”
“We were just there” Doubar said
“There is no villages on this island! You cannot enter!”
Dermott flew by and perched onto a branch. He then flew deeper into the forest.
“Dermott!” Bryn yelled as she tried to run after him “Stop!” the woman stopped Bryn and pushed her back
“Hey, there’s no need for that” Sinbad said
“You cannot enter this forest, you will have to leave now”
“Please you have to understand, my crew is low on supplies, we-” Sinbad said
“Your crew is no concern of mine. Leave now!”
Dermott squawked and Bryn became worried. She tried to get past the woman but she was pushed back and down to the ground. Sinbad and the rest of the crew became mad when she did that to Bryn. They drew their swords as Bryn got up.
“You alright Bryn?” Sinbad asked
“Yeah” Bryn asked
“Not very lady like of you” Doubar said
The crew began to approach the silver woman with their swords, she laughed. She picked up one of the rings on her hip and held it up it in the air. There was a bright light and the crew’s swords were pulled and thrown onto the ground.
“What the?” Sinbad
“It must be some kind of magnet or something” Firouz
“Well that’s all good but what do we do about it?” Doubar
“She’s got our swords! Someone do something! Bryn?”
Sinbad “I don’t know!” Bryn said
“Bryn!” Sinbad
“Ok! I’ll try!” Bryn tried and concentrated and a cold gust of wind blew by.
The cold wind surrounded the woman and encased her in a block of ice. She was frozen in ice and couldn’t move, while the crew ran past her into the forest. Bryn looked up into the trees to find Dermott. She couldn’t see anything. Then a young girl, with medium length brown hair and wearing a green tunic swooped down from the trees.
“Do you know what you’ve just done!” she yelled at them
“What?” Sinbad said
Suddenly the flower the little boy gave Bryn fell onto the ground and a dark figure appeared.
“That’s my girl! I always knew you could do it!” he said
“Turok!” Sinbad yelled out
“You make me so proud Bryn. Knew you could do it!” Turok said as he laughed and misted away
Then the silver woman encased in the ice broke free and ran in after them.
“They’ve let the evil enter the forest!” she said
“I know!” the brunette said as she raised her bow and arrow at them.
“Now, now, you shouldn’t be playing with such sharp objects” Sinbad said
Trifin, the girl dressed in the green tunic pulled the arrow back and released it, where it split up into three separate arrows and hit the ground right in front of their feet.
“Nice shot” Doubar laughed
The ground started to rumble and threes sprouted out and their branches tied themselves around Sinbad and his crew. They struggled but couldn’t get free. The branches were thin but didn’t break.
“We must go” Melle, the silver woman said The girl in green jumped back into the trees, while the blonde started glowing. Her body became liquid and melted into the ground.
"Any ideas?" Sinbad asked
"Well they're not breaking like they should be" Doubar said as he struggled
"Intersting in deed, even though they appear to be fragile, they are quite elastic and-" Firouz started
"Firouz! Anything that will help?" Sinbad yelled
"Not at the moment"
"Bryn?" Sinbad asked "Why do you always look at me?" Bryn asked
But then the vines and branches started to unravel and release the crew from their grips.
"Nice work" Sinbad said
"I didn't do anything, at least I don't think I did" Bryn said
"Well hurry up!" Doubar yelled
Bryn took her sword and starts freeing them.
Inside the Great Tree, Melle the Metal Guardian, and Trifin, are talking to the Earth Sage.
"We must get you to safety" Melle stated
"No, the time for reckoning is to come" the Earth Sage said calmly
"The strangers" Trifin started
"They mean no harm. The evil has tricked them. They are here to help" The Earth Sage said
"I hope so" Melle said
The crew ran through the forest and they stopped at the Great Tree. Bryn walked closer to it to see it. She reaches out to touch it but falls in.
"What the?" Sinbad started to say
The crew searched around and around the tree for her. They lean onto the tree and they themselves fall in.
They find themselves inside the tree, larger than it appears to be from the outside. They walk and see a giant door, which opens by itself. They look at each other wondering whether or not to go in. They enter and see a room covered in flowers. Triffin appears and the door closes.
"The Sage awaits you" Triffin extened her arm
They enter the hallway and into a large room which the walls are covered in flowers and vines. The Earth sage appears as a column of flowers and disperses as her body encased in a green dress.
"Welcome captain" The Earth Sage said
"Thank you, I think" Sinbad replied
"You must forgive my guardians" Earth sage smiled
"Earth Sage? I remember Master DimDim mentioning it once" Sinbad said
"She is the EarthSage, she embodies the element of Earth. Maintaining the balance in the world she and the others help maintain the world's balance. When she dies, the element Earth will cease to exist" Trifin said
"And the balance of the elements will be destroyed" Melle finished
"But why would Turok come here?" Sinbad asked
"If he kills me here, he will take my power" Earth Sage replied
"And your Guardians!" Turok misted from behind
Sinbad and his crew drew their swords and began attacking Turok. His magic proved to be too strong, and flings them back like rag dolls, leaving Melle standing her ground.
She raises both her rings up, and emits a light, blinding Turok. Triffin shots an arrow and binds him to a tree.
Turok blasts free, sending Melle back. He floats toward the Earth Sage. Triffin stands in front of her, ready to protect and defend her to the death.
"Out of my way child" Turok snarled
"No"
Turok sent a blast of fire, Triffin's arrow expands into a sheild, but a wooden shield. The flames burn through the shield and Triffin's hand. She drops the shield. He flings her aside, leaving just him and the Earth Sage.
She backs up and presses up on the wall. Turok smiles as he creeps closer.
But then her body melts into the wall and disappears.
"NO!" Turok yells out.
Sinbad charging with his sword, slices Turok's head off again. It rolls around and his body stumbles around to find it.
Doubar picks up his head.
"Watch it fatso!" Turok's head yells
Doubar throws it to Firouz.
"Ah!" Firouz throws it to Rongar.
Rongar throws it to Sinbad who throws it to Bryn. The body runs around in search of the head.
"That's my girl!" Turok says to Bryn
"Over here!" Melle yells
Bryn throws the head to Melle who encases it in a metal ball. The ground starts to rumble, and the Earth Sage appears with her third guardian, the Rock Guardian. It picks up the metal ball from Melle and flings it out to the horizon. It then picks up the body and flings it in the opposite direction.
"Thank you Captain" the Earth sage said
"Your welcome" Sinbad replied
"You should smile more" Melle says to Sinbad
"Perhaps you should see the Fire Sage Sinbad. Perhaps she can help you find what you're looking for" Triffin says as she hands him a green emerald.
It shines brightly, and for a second Maeve's face appears with a red light that fades.
"Fire huh?" Sinbad smirked
"I thank you Captain" Melle removes one of the rings on her hip and puts it over Sinbad's head and down to his neck, and pulls him closer for a long kiss which caught him off guard.
Bryn looks slightly uneasy, while the rest of the crew just watches in amazement. Melle releases a slightly dazed and bewildered Sinbad.
"Well that's some element" Sinbad dazed said
"Come back and visit soon" Melle smiled
Sinbad shook his head, still dazed, as they walked out of the forest. He looked back, and saw the three standing there waving good bye to him. The crew waved back. And the forest closed in and they were gone.
Sinbad looked down at the emerald as it caught the sunlight.
