Grandma's Birthday 2002

It was Grandma's birthday while I was back in the US.  So, there was cause for celebration.  This year, it seemed to be just a small dinner between Grandma, Auntie Kim, Nancy and me.  It seems that the rest of the family had celebrated the day before. One of these days, we got teach Aunt Diana that it sometimes is easier to drive in the dark.  Either that or we need more drivers in the Bay Area.

After some deliberation, Aunt Kimberley picked the well-regarded French Restaurant-- L'amie Donia-- in Palo Alto.  It is considered one of the best restaurants on the Peninsula.  I thought it was an excellent choice since I had been dying try it for years.  Here is a picture of the open-air kitchen with a dining bar.
