Laura Gale Harper
Right after graduating from highschool in 1965,
Laura married Dennis Elzear DesJardins "Des"
on 8-01-65 (Reno, NV.). They met in beauty college and planned to open a solon together.
Dennis went on to machine shop work in a lumber mill and Laura into banking. They had two sons.
In 1971 Laura and Dennis "Des" went their seperate ways.
1. Des Emeile DesJardins  b. May 14, 1966 in Flagstaff, AZ.
         Des went into the AirForce for a couple years. Later
         married Sharon White and they had two boys.

2. Shaun Robert DesJardins  b. Oct. 06, 1967 in Vancouver, WA.
        Shaun went into the Navy for a few years. Later married
        Barbara Jo in Lewiston, ID. in 1998. She had two teenage
        children and worked at a school, as a "special needs" teacher.
                   They had one little girl together, Shauna.

            After making  mistakes and not wanting another failed marriage Laura met Tommy Lee Russell. They wired houses together, made things in a wood shop they had and traveled a lot with the boys. Laura and Tom had one son. They stayed together only 2!/2 yrs.
They parted in 1978.
3. Dennis Lee Russell  b. Nov. 25, 1977 in Portland, OR.
           Denny was named after Tom's brother "Denny", who'd
           passed away, only two years before. Denny got his GED
           and dropped out of school, and married at 18 yrs old.
           He and Taunya had a wonderful baby boy; Devlyn.

she had two beautiful little boys Izaiah 6 and Joshua 2 (in 2002)
They had one beautiful little girl:
2.  Keeliana Suzanne Russell
born on March 14, 2002.
            In 1979 Laura married Larry Fredette in Reno, NV.
        They bought a house in Hillsboro, OR. and raised the boys.
        The boys learned to fish and hunt and white water rafting. We
        did a lot of camping and hiking. The marriage lasted 15 yrs.
       In 1995 Laura married Stephen Jay Hurst. They had a "River Boat" wedding with all the family and friends. Steve had two grown daughters and Laura's boys were all grown and out on their own now, too. Both Laura and Steve retired in 1999 and moved to the Oregon coast and bought a boat. Steve and Laura are making maps and selling them to Rams Maps (GMU). They are starting their own little mapping company and enjoying a lot of fishing and crabbing on the coast.
