The major point of interest in the HelpGame is the game itself. This page provides a detailed(enough) explanation of how to get not only the 4 major instruments, but the extras as well. Good luck, and happy instrument-getting!

Here is my rather cruddy version of a map of Help's instruments. The map itself is easy enough to follow. Please excuse the crudeness of its appearance, but I'm no graphical expert!

Let's start off with the drums. You hop on the 2nd space from the left in the stage and transform into Ringo Starr. As soon as the game begins, you possess a key. You used to have to go into the basement for the key. Anyway, take the door, Abbey Road, at your automatic right. Next, cross the road by either clicking in the middle and going across, of you can click the entrance to the recording studio once you get to Abbey Road. After you enter this door, find the large cabinet nearest to the door. Click the cabinet, which is opened via the key, and viola, you have the drums. Walk back from where you came and stand on the square.

The sitar, one of the 4 extra instruments, is located right near the drums! Follow the directions above until you enter the recording studio. See the other large cabinet? Click this, and you'll receive the sitar.

Here's what to do to get the bass. Hop on the 1st space from the left in the stage and you'll transform into Paul McCartney. The door in the upper right-hand corner is the Yellow Submarine area where the bass is found. Head on into there. You'll see some blue meanies walking around, but don't worry, they won't charge you. In the lump of snow boxes, click the middle box. Wait for a break in the meanys' pattern and head on into the sub. Inside the sub,you want to click near, but NOT touching the meany closest to you. Again, wait for a break in his pattern, and move two squares to the "isthmus" of sorts. Take a 90 degree turn when the meany is not near you. Click the bass! Head directly downward, and follow the same patterns to pass the meanies. Good luck, it's not easy to keep all your lives!

If you're the Beatle John, you want to step on the 3rd square from the left in the stage. Once you get into the game, go inside the upper right-hand corner door. Here you'll enter the first part of the maze. See the orange button to the right? Step on this twice. Head as far as you can until you reach the gate. Another Beatle, usually George, will press the button for you and you cross the bridge. This next part, many people don't know, so I'll type it in bold:Click the acoustic guitar once you get to the other side of the bridge. The meany will NOT attack you. After you have possesion of the guitar, walk right back out. Your partner will let you out of the maze.

Two of the extra instruments are found in the two parts of the maze, the harp, and the French horn.

To get the harp, let yourself in the maze. Click on the harp. Easy, huh?

To get the French horn, follow the directions to get the acoustic guitar. Once you cross the bridge, click the horn, and get on out!

The final proverbial "brick in the wall" is the red, or electric, guitar, which is George's instrument. This one is widely considered the toughest of the 4(see main page poll.) Get on the 4th disc from the left. Once you get in the game, enter the door to your direct left, the ski slope. Follow these instructions closely. The meany will come chraging at you in the first room. Click furiously at the bottom left hand square. You should be able to outrace the meany.Repeat this step for the 2nd room. In the 3rd room, wait about two seconds until you click the red guitar. Click the cabin, and you're out!

The very last extra instrument comes in the ski slope. When you enter the 1st room, click furiously at the bottom left-hand square. Once you enter the 2nd room, wait a second and click the bike horn. This isn't easy! Once you have it in your possesion, click the bottom RIGHT-hand square. After this, click the cabin.
NOTE: If you want to get both red and bike horn at once, do this:Click the bottom left hand square in the first room. Click the bike horn and then the bottom left hand square, and then grab the red. Good luck!
