The very words, "Sgt. Pepper Suits" make some cringe, some laugh, and some excited. Having tried for the bloody things waaay to many times, I decided to devote an entire section of the Helpgame Tribute Site to the many, many rumors I've heard on how to get them. I'll tell as much as I know about them, or at least what I think about them. Do you think they really exist? I believe at least at a point, they must've. Let me explain.
NOTE:This will mainly be a text site, so if you don't like to read and don't care about the suits, then you're in for a disappointment.

The Story Behind The Suits
Rumor has it the Sgt. Pepper suit myth started when Helpgame first opened. I've been told a certain individual by the name of MisterMustard came up with this story to fool newbies to the game. The story involved getting the 'extra' instruments of french horn, bike horn, and harp(excluding sitar)in a certain order, stand in the sun, and you would be taken to the Attic. Here you'd find a box of the suits. You'd be transported back to the center island and would go onstage with the Pepper Suits! This fascinated literally hundreds of people. Was it true? Maybe.
The evidence lies against it. It's been tried before, beaten to death, but no one's ever 'seen' the suits or gotten them in that manner. However..It's been hinted at before that the suits used to exist, but were taken out. I feel this is entirely possible. I've heard rumors that they have been seen before, maybe being trialed for a new release. A read a piece by one of the creators that he designed 17 rooms, while in my temps I found only 16 I had loaded. Was the missing one "attic?"
Helpgame was closed for three days back in December, days when they still easily could've been taken out for a number of reasons. The site was record last updated on Dec. 13, maybe the last day the server held them. Who knows? No one will ever know the true story, save a fair few.

My Experiences
Hey, I was a moronic newbie too, back then. I was willing to try anything to get those bloody suits. It was so amazing to me, the concept of playing these multicolored suits. I spend New Year's Eve with a few of my friends on Help, dreaming up methods to get these things.
However, the concept started to bore people as January continued, but some persisted. The veterans insisted it was a rumor, and some of us eventually succumbed to their preachings. But on one fateful day, the rumors, at least in my head, were totally reformed. Just take a look at the background picture. Gaze at its mystery....It was awesome, truly awesome. I had been emailed a response asking if there were Pepper Suits. The reply was:
"There were a lot of things that were not used in the final version. But sorry, no hidden items."
Although that last statement would seem detrimental to my dreaming, when I saw the attachment, my mind soared! I tried for the suits every day from there on, with my picture spreading across the Helpgame world.

Haley's Lie, Confession, and the Real Story
Well, my friend Haley came back after being suspended from the computer sometime in mid-February. However, she had a very shocking claim-She had gotten the Pepper Suits! We were all mind-boggled, shocked, amazed, you name it. However, we wanted them more than anything else. Here's where it really started to stretch..she said she had gotten the suits with the Voice, Guardian of Help and MM, the originator or the first suit incarnation. Ouch. Anyway, we tried desperately, fighting script errors until we did what the formula called for.
I suppose I'll describe Haley's Suit Story-
George-gets harp, french, acoustic
John-bass
Paul-drums, sitar
Ringo-red guitar, bike horn
Each get two keys
Stand in sun for five minutes
Get real instruments
Hop on discs
Sounds simple, but it was really brutal. I can't see how we finally did the formula, but we did do it. When we got onstage, we played the regular song. This....was a letdown.
A not-so-long time later, thebeatlesfan, Lola38, and I began to doubt the story. Haley finally confessed to lying. We were all annoyed at her and had lost a whole lot of respect. We got over it in the long run, but the Pepper Dream ended that day.
Recently last week, she told me the real story. She got in the game with 2 other guys and apparently a hacker. They all seemed baffled as the guy got his instrument and mumbles about the sun. All of a sudden, they blanked out, and the hacker appeared onstage, in George's(red)outfit, playing no music, while the other three stood near the discs. The guy then disappeared. Take this for what you want, but it sounds very strange to me. I'd like to talk with that hacker very much...

The Aftermath
This essentially ends my story about the wondrous Pepper suits. I think the dreamer in all of us does believe they exist, or would at least like to. The suits don't have nearly as much of the cult following as they used to, but one can still wonder about the fishy points. Haley's hacker story, the sightings, the missing room, the really weird recording room in the recording studio, etc. We'll probably never know, and that may be a good thing. All I know is, these suits have influenced my stay at Helpgame, be in badly or good. May our dreams flow throughout the night, and we fail in another Pepper plight.
