Have you got an idea for a news article, or have you posted some information regarding business, web page building, or other related topic you would like covered in our newsletter? We would love to hear from you and include your ideas in our newsletter. To submit information or article to this newsletter please use the Contact Editor form.

We are particularly interested in tutorials, graphic resources, web publishing tips, JavaScript Apps and other tools that would be of interest to our readership.

    IE5 - New & Improved

The long awaited arrival of IE5 is over, released March 19th resulted in measureable bandwidth problems. The scramble to update to the new browser created plenty of frustrations, even for those on cable. The U.S. download site was impossible to access, and even cable users reported being bumped around the world and taking as long as an hour to complete. Sound rediculous? On a 28.8 modem it took the better part of eight hours to complete the download on it's release date. Was it worth it... ?

    GeoCitizen Awards

Did you know you could qualify for an award just for being a good GeoCitizen? The Eureka CL team has worked hard at putting together awards programs for our homesteaders, Community Leaders, and Liaisons. You too could qualify for one of these awards.

    ET Reader Banner Exchange!

Have you joined the Eureka Today Reader's Banner Exchange? Specifically for Eureka Homesteaders, this banner exchange program allows you the complete freedom to build the banner of your dreams, or the option of having us create one for you.

The banners are displayed on the pages of the Eureka Today Newsletter and are randomly generated. You do not have to add a banner to your page, simply upload the banner you choose to run for this exchange and submit your application including the full directory path (URL) to your banner. Banner applications are updated weekly. Banners can be in JPEG, GIF, or animated GIF format and are standard 468 x 60... so go ahead, build that ultimate banner and we'll display it for you!

To submit your page for review please contact the editor with your information.

Your page could be featured in our Mother's Day Collection page, all submissions must be received by Saturday, April 24th. We are sorry that submissions received after this date will have to be excluded.

    Announcing
    GeoThingMaker
GeoCities has done it again! Now you can download GeoThingMaker and create your own Things for your GeoCities page. GeoThings are locked to GeoCities pages, others can not steal your GeoThing creations for use on their page. GeoThings are interactive, and can be used to create navigation tools, interactive page graphics, even games. Best news yet... it's absolutely FREE to GeoCities Homesteaders.
    Yahoo! Clubs

Yahoo has a new feature called Y!Clubs. If you have a specific interest group, need a place for family to gather, or want to keep in touch with your crafting circle, this is the answer. You can join Clubs that already exist or create your own private Club. You will require that you sign on with a Yahoo Mail account before creating or joining a Club. You can configure My Yahoo to show new messages in the club, your event calendar, and more.

Clubs provide you with a message area, chat room, photo area, calendar, and other useful tools to keep your group informed and organized. You invite members to join your club right from the club page, or place a link on your page. The chat room includes many great features, private chat request, away modes, preset 'emotion' that are absolutely hilarious, the ability to use different color text, and more.

To Join or Create a club, go to the page link and read Yahoo!'s information and follow the steps outlined.
