Football Nodders

Hail to the Redskins !!!
Hail vic tor eee !!!
Hail to old D.C. !!!

The first football nodders from Japan were five & a half inch figures on square wood bases. All fourteen NFL teams were represented & the dolls are treasured for their colorful hand painting (very few decals on these 60's figures)

Since then the Giants moved to New Jersey, the Colts moved to Indianapolis, the Cardinals moved to Arizona, the Rams moved to Saint Louis, the Browns moved to Baltimore, the Redskins moved to Maryland, & the Eskimos...What?
Who the Hell are the Eskimos?

I'll bet the Japanese would be confused!!!

Hail To The Redskins Hail Victory

Washington Redskins nodders show various Japanese types from the wood square base to the later gold bases. The Redskins are actually a good team to gauge the year of production since the team changed helmet designs and color schemes frequently during this period. Based on their record in the 60's, this was probably a good idea. Incidentally, the earlier nodders always have the feather going backwards. The real Redskins, who won one game in 1961, had a feather going from the back to front; just thought you'd like to know.
Hail to the Redskins...
Hail one Victory!!!
