Sorry for not doing a step by step but this started as an experiment. When I find another beater I'll do a step by step on it. |

This started out as a HW "Street Rodder", I found it in very bad shape at a flea market. |
|
|
|
|
|
First off was making a cowl to cover the area where the engine was. Carves in wax and cast in silver. Used J.B. Weld to bond it in place. |
|

|
|
|
|
|
|
Detailed the interior, added a new steering wheel and gear shift. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
This was the fun part, I used a wax pen to fuse two wheels together then a grinding wheel to clean up the seam and give them a more natural rubber look. Finished off with 800 grit sand paper and finally rubbed oil into them. All wheels used are stock HW wheels. |

Made a new windshield from base metal. |

Made a new grill as the original was toast. |

|

I also recut the center of the wheels. No longer will I buy a car just to rob better wheels from. |
