Honors World History & AP European History Both of these classes will involve lectures, discussions, debates, research, mock trials, cooperative learning, individual work, "think tank" solution solving, and fun. We will cover as many topics of interest and importance as possible. World History class studies start with the Beginning of Man to the Gulf War of 1991. Aspects of different cultures, religions, governments, philosophies, rulers, territories, and wars will be covered. AP European History is an intense study starting from the Renaissance 1450 AD through present day events, leaders, religions, and conflicts that shaped European history and governments. Students should expect a lot of research, reading, and writing. Students that pass the AP exam in May will receive college credit for the course. Our goal is to create a better understanding of different cultures, religions, and governments. Events do not "just happen." We make it "happen." |
