"The Pretender" is a protected trademark of MTM Television, Pretender Productions, and NBC/TNT.  Characters, ideas, settings, and psychotic corporations recognized from the series aren't mine, kids. Fanfiction is protected under the "Free Use" clause of the Copyright Law. The characters depicted in Pretender fanfiction, and/or "The Haven Chronicles" are fictional.  No similarity to any person, living or dead, is coincidential and unintended. The Haven Rating System For ease in understanding, and in keeping with fanfiction tradition, stories are rated on a similar scale to movie ratings. However, in order to keep everyone on the same page--or in the same fugitive-harboring, small-scale spying, secret organization, if you prefer--I have clearly defined the ratings below.  All stories/novels are PG-13 or below unless marked next to the title.  All ratings are marked at the beginning of each story/novel/section. G--General Audiences. Suitible for people of all ages. Nudity, sex, drugs, are a great big NO; violence is only used in a minor or comic manner. PG--Parantal Guidance Suggested. If you wish, pre-read the story and discuss pertinent issues with your child(ren).  May contain brief nudity, moderate horror, and violence. PG-13--Not suggested for children under 13. However, consistent, morbid violence (i.e. torture) and explicit sexual content are not employed. R--Some content unsuitable for children. On Haven, the R rating is generally reserved for violent or horrific stories/novels, or sections of stories or novels.  Readers and parents recommended to form their own opinions.
