This ancien game involved magical ceremonies, which were used to foresee the future and ultimately, decide one's desting. They called it the Shadow Game, and the main defference back then was that the monsters were real. With so many magical spells and ferocious creatures on the earth, it wasn't long before the game got out of hand and threatened to destroy the entire world. Fortunately, a brave young Pharaoh stepped in and , sacrificing his life, averted this cataclysm with the help of seven powerful magical totems. Now, in present times, the game has been revived in the form of playing cards called "Duel Monsters". ---Offical History of Duel Monster--- First Series How many episodes: 27 First aired in Japan in 1998 "Yu-Gi-Oh!" It talks about how Yugi met up with Joey, Tristan and Tea (through many advantures)and how Yugi unlock the secrets of the Millennium Items. At first, Yugi is always picked by bullies but when he transtrom into Yami, he challengest them a game of IQ and strategies and to teach them a lesson to pick one someone their own size. Soon, the "Duel Monster" Game was introduced and Seto Kaiba attended at their school. he seeks rare cards and steals Yugi's Grandpa's BEWD card. To get the card back, Yami Yugi challenges him to a duel To Kaiba's surprised, it turned out to be a draw. He then created Kaiba land and forces Yugi and his friends to compete in his Deatl-T tournmanet... After the events at Kaiba Land, Ryou Bakura, a new transfer student and Yugi's new friend, invited them over to play the Monster World board game.
