HERE,  HAVE A LOOK AT OUR BEACHES
La Paz has gorgeous beaches and with Tecolote or Balandra, our beaches are not comparable. It is a different type of beach.
We like to show you how it really is. We don't want to impress you with a picture perfect beach at the web site and the reality
looks totally different.
We love our beaches and they are nice too. Have a look at the following pictures.
Here is the Hacienda del Sol,
about 100 yd from the beach
BEACH  1
BEACH  2
MANGROVE
The Hacienda del Sol is in a sleepy little village, only 2 restaurants, but plenty
of miles to walk along a nice shoreline. Go to Google Earth and zoom in.
To understand the following pictures, we marked the beaches with "1" and "2".
This is the beach # 1, about 100 yd from the Hacienda. Until the last hurricane
it had pristine white sand, which is now in the water. May be the next
hurricane will change it again, but there is still some sand left.
In the back you see a cute little Mangrove forest.
Part of the beach has plenty of clam shells. This means there are many steamer clams in the water and oysters clinging to the
Mangrove trunk and branches , just waiting to be collected on low tide for your dinner.
Keep in mind that collecting clams is edictive.
The Mangrove forest is perfect for bird lovers. Here are nesting all the sea birds and if you take your time, your camera  and
your binoculars,  you can make fantastic pictures.
If you walk around the Mangrove forest for about 200 to 300 yd from the first beach, you come
to beach # 2. Years ago it was a hard packed beach, but the hurricanes changed it to a nice white
sandy beach.
Most of the time you will have the beach all to yourself. Only at night there will be a few couples watching the lights
of La Paz blinking across the water and having a romantic walk or something else. HA
Keep in mind, that the inner bay is very protected and has no big waves or undertow.
As you can see by the pictures made on low tide, the sloop is very gradual and it is very safe for small children.
If you like to explore more on the water,  we have also a Panga (fishing, diving boat)
and
Ocean Kayaks. The inner bay is phantastic to kayak and the shore line of the
El Mogote peninsular is pristine.
Always wear proper bathing attire, a G-String or a Sombrero.
A nice sandy beach leading the the north side of the
mangrove forest.
Plenty of white soft sand, ideal to find it in your teath when eating your lunch. HA
