Here are a few pictures from our trip to Cancun in 1997.

This is a replica of a small Mexican village from centuries ago.
We walked through on foot as well as snorkeled. The huts were
built on stilts against a steep hill. That greenish
blue you see is water that ran through the village.
|
The entrance to the cave in Xcaret where we swam through tunnels
of water. This was a natural cave that wound underground
in
many parts with only about 5 feet of air between the top of the water and the
cave roof (kind of creepy!).

Steve and I atop a small Mayan ruin. |
Looking goofy in our snorkel gear.

 |
Really neat sea turtles.

Drinking a Modelo after a hard day of exploring.
