March  2005
Well here's to hoping that 2005 is a better year for most of us than 2004 was!
With my health still giving me major problems it looks like two or three times a year is about all I can manage to update the site. Running a site like this is tough enough when your'e healthy. And of course I had to start the year off by having minor surgery. Sigh.
On a cool personal note I finally picked up an all region player! This means I now can watch all of the cool Edgar Wallace krimis on dvd in their original aspect ratios and with subtitles. So maybe later in the year I'll review some of the films. From what I've seen so far they have been outstanding
A short note: I get a lot of emails asking about the location of certain pages here at the site. The ARCHIVES section has about 100 pages tucked away there. Anything from 7/2001 through August of 2002 is stored there. So if you don't see it on the new sitemap page odds are it is in the archives.
If you click on the title in blue it will take you to that particular
movie (s) page. For example if you click on
Archives that is where you will wind up.
This time out we'll take a look at some rather strange or unique films that are hard to categorize. They may be a combination of film genres. For exampl
e The Monster And The Girl is a mix of sci fi horror and film noir. Alphaville is so far out there it is on another planet when it is actually next door. Bloody Pit of Horror
is a hodgepodge of sadism, cheesecake and beefcake. Of course
we can't forget the old standb
y Dracula.
I watch a lot of films. Last year I watched 361 and in January of
this year viewed 47. So what I'm leaning towards doing is more of a capsule review of more films and concentrate less on devoting a lot of space to just one film. Of course if the film warrants it I will do so.Some older films are covered in the
30's-40's capsule and there is another page for a few
Euro Horrors.
